Glyn Frink, age 51, of Albany, was sentenced to three years behind bars Thursday, Sept. 29, after admitting that he signed out of a residential re-entry center to go to work in September 2021 and then never came back.
Instead, he stayed in the Albany area without approval and failed to notify Albany Police of his change of address as required under the sex offender registry laws, the US Attorney's Office in the Northern District said.
At the time, Frink was serving 15 years of supervised release following a 5 ½ year prison sentence for having sexual contact with a 13-year-old girl in Virginia in 2004, according to the New York State Sex Offender Registry.
Frink was eventually arrested at a fast food restaurant in Albany in March 2022 and pleaded guilty the following June.
Once he’s released from prison, Frink will continue serving his term of supervised release, prosecutors said.
